Benefits
This is the tightest-clearance oil pan available for the Atlas 4200, while still maintaining a 7-quart oil capacity. The shallow end is just over 1¾" deep, compared to 2½" on the 5-cylinder pans. That’s an extra ¾" of hood clearance, which helps address the Atlas’ biggest drawback.
That clearance is made possible by a mandrel bent, low profile pickup tube, built from a single piece of tubing, no extended 5 cylinder pickup. It hugs the floor of the pan and keeps the profile as low as possible.
CNC Machined
The oil pan is CNC machined from a solid block of 6061 aluminum. No welds, no warping, a perfectly flat sealing surfaces on both the block and pan.
Replaceable Steel Lower Pan
Uses an IS300 2JZ stamped steel oil pan which is $25 on Amazon, Ebay or RockAuto. Great for easy inspection access, no need to drop the subframe and scrape RTV from the block. Plus, it's cheap to replace if you dent it going off track or off-roading.
Comes threaded 1/2NPT for AN-10 turbo drain and 1/4NPT that fits a $26 Summit Racing universal dipstick.
